1986 Suzuki GSXR-750
Limited Edition

In 1985 Suzuki released the GSXR 750 and it immediately defined what a superbike could be, and set the trend that superbikes have followed to this very day. In 1986 Suzuki released the race homologation special “limited edition” bike that bore a single “R” after its model name. The GSXR750R Limited Edition, like the name suggests, was made in very limited numbers and got some extremely tasty upgrades from its bigger brother the GSX-R 1100. These included anti dive forks, bigger brakes and, most conspicuous of all, a dry clutch.
We gave the bike the full meal deal, a full strip to the frame and rebuild. ”
We gave the bike the full meal deal, a full strip to the frame and rebuild. Not a single bolt went unturned. Seals were replaced, engine and covers resprayed, you name it, it has our finger prints on it…well, except the paint of course, because that would be bad. Actually, the decision was made—by the owner—to keep the original paint on the fairings and pipe heat shield, as the paint was in near perfect condition. The look of the bike wears its age like a fine timepiece…timeless. A wise decision as it looks amazing.
The bike now resides in a private collection with its two younger limited-edition siblings—the 1989 GSX-R 750RK and 1994 GSX-R 750SP. What a stable!
